Florida Room

This is the HomeLife approach to the traditional “Florida Room”.

While renovating this ranch home we decided to remove the enclosed walls and door replacing them with large sliding doors. This truly opens up this room to the new pool and landscaped garden.

This is everyone’s favorite place to linger on a Sunday afternoon.

 
Ralph Lauren Intimates

Joseph Cortes designed and over saw construction of many spaces for the Ralph Lauren’s many related brands.

In designing this lingerie label, we used 12,000 square feet of space to accommodate showrooms, reception and sales areas.

Residential aspects were incorporated throughout the space.

Terry cloth was used on teak reception furniture and sisal carpet was used with a mahogany floor border.

Sheer drapery created a portal to the vestibule beyond and the various showrooms.

Within the space, showrooms are built with sliding glass doors that can all be opened to allow the space to be used for runway shows during fashion week.

 
Barcelona Square Lobby

HomeLife Interiors created all of the interiors for this mixed use residential development.

The lobby incorporated European styles grilles on the entry doors.

Focal points for art and a modern interpretation of a barrel domed ceiling provide an updated vision for a classic lobby.

This 300 unit complex included a clubhouse, pool, two lobbies and a fitness center.

 
Bathroom Entry Foyer

This residence featured wallcoverings made from recycled paper products, low VOC paints and modular recycled carpet tiles.

These materials were stylishly incorporated into this rambling waterfront estate.

 
Dining Room

Contemporary art, midcentury furniture and antiques all coexist wonderfully when they are carefully thought out.

The 60” dining tables features a sunburst shagreen top and ivory inlay.

A painting by Gonzalez Bravo provides a strong focal point to this dining area.

 
Home Office

This home office desk features Aingre mahogany and white lacquer.

The desk top was designed as a 3 dimensional parallelogram whose top and sides bend and distort.

This desk becomes a focal point as well as a piece of art for the room.

 
Contemporary Penthouse Kitchen

This kitchen features hi-gloss, cherry wood cabinetry mixed with stainless steel.

A large granite island with great texture becomes a working surface for the family to gather around.

There a various levels of lighting to tailor the atmosphere to the time of day.

 
Executive Private Office

A classic “Gentleman’s library” was requested for the CEO of this fortune 100 company.

The perimeter windows were paneled with mahogany shutters to create a warm atmosphere.

Antique rugs were used to define areas and a Georgian dining table serves as a conference table.

A large leather Campaign style desk was custom designed for us as a desk.

 
Master Bedroom

A large Master bedroom was scaled down by architecturally creating a recess for the headboard.

The pale palette of Ivory and Metallic grey allow the paintings to take center stage.

Recycled modular carpet tiles were used so that the flooring could withstand the activity of dogs and children playing.

 
Onsite Access

75,000 Square feet mid-town Manhattan office space served as the home base for this telecommunications company.

Joseph utilized the double height entry space to create dramatic lighting for the reception area.

Conference rooms, coffee bars and breakout areas allowed the staff to interact and feel at home as they worked late into the night.

 
2700 Ocean

A warm and intimate feel was created in this oceanfront condominium.

Venetian plaster was used in a large scale application to give the walls character.

A large custom daybed, designed by HomeLife Interiors, faces a fireplace.

A mix of antiques and modern furnishings rounds out this luxurious escape.

 
Midcentury Ranch

This kitchen renovation incorporated many green elements.

Terrazzo floor tiles and white quartz counters are made from recycled materials.

Zebra wood cabinetry is made from reconstituted wood fiber.

 
Home Office

A home office adjacent to the living room becomes additional space for entertaining.

Horizontally striped drapery creates a strong impact.

HomeLife Interiors designed the seating to incorporate a higher seat and more formal sitting stance for business meetings.

Asian antiques are interspersed throughout the home.

 
Fireside Chat

HomeLife Interiors designed this over scaled wing chair to accommodate fireside reading.

The upholstery is textured chenille over a tight, marshal spring, seat.

The seat will cushion will never sag or “sink-in”.

 
Library and Media Room

A small room is transformed into an expansive library for this Palm Beach home.

The dark mahogany cabinetry is offset with bright, custom designed furniture by HomeLife Interiors.

The room doubles as a media room for intimate TV watching or curling up with a good book.

i-Star Financial Lobby

i-Star Financial had an affinity for white which we incorporated into the elevator lobby of their New York office.

Glossy white glass walls are warmed up with walnut panels over the elevators and limestone inset flooring.

 
Turnbury foyer

This 6,000 square foot, penthouse residence, in Aventura features a wood paneled entry and beveled mirrors to capture your attention.

The 5 bedroom apartment incorporates luxurious wood species and rare fossil stone throughout.

The expansive living area accommodates large groups for entertaining or enjoying the water views.

 
Master Bathroom

Large windows bring lots of natural light into this bathing area.

The large shower uses low water consumption plumbing fixtures.

Walls are painted with low VOC products.

The floating lavatory shelf is made from FSC certified woods.

Custom Dresser

This bedroom needed an exceptional piece of furniture to complete room.

This dresser is made from, aniline dyed, figured Makore.

The wood has natural figuring which creates the “fire” effect.

The lines of the furniture piece can be very simple when the surface texture is strong.

 
Media Room / Office

A bedroom is converted to a multipurpose guest room, media room and home office with the clever wall panel.

Cerused, rift oak is used to impart a light airy atmosphere in this space.

The wall panel is treated as furniture so that the owner could take it with him when he relocated.

A TV is accommodated with book shelves, room for art and a countertop so that one can spread out with the laptop.
